Smaller paintings or oil sketches as I am thinking about them, allow for exploration. These 12x12 oil on panel are small made large or large made small ways of seeing. The movement and drying time allows for many changes while a painting is evolving. For now.

Southwest Moments
This collection of work is inspired by my solo paining retreats. I load up my car with all my painting gear and hit the road. Joshua Tree, Sedona and Santa Fe are represented in this gallery. It is these "retreats" that feed and inspire my painting energy. I land, I wander, I set up a studio, hang by myself and see what happens.
